What is an online auction?
In an online auction bidders can view details, photos, videos, documents, reports, maps, etc. on any of your listings and place bids online. Online auctions usually run for 1-3 weeks. XWAuctions online auction software allows bidders to enter proxy bids and sends out automatic email notifications.

What is a live simulcast auction?
A live simulcast auction enables auctioneers to stream live audio and video of an onsite auction over the internet to any bidders viewing worldwide. A live auction can be held either at a lot, in an office, or in a ballroom. Bidders viewing over the internet can see all auction activity, item information, reports, photos, and bid in real time against onsite bidders and other online bidders. The clerk enters all onsite bids and sends chat messages to bidders viewing over the internet. Online bidders can place their bids in real time as if they were physically present at the auction without having the travel cost to attend the auction.

What items can I sell using your SaaS online auction software?

No, XWAuctions does not require credit card details to view a demo.

Do I need to provide a server to host my online auctions?
No, XWAuctions will do all hosting and server management for the two servers required to run the auction software.

Do my buyers and sellers have to visit your website to participate in my online auction?
No, they will remain on your website and can access your online and live auction platform from a link on your website. Sellers can have their own login to enter their items, but you as the admin approve and move them into an auction. Also, your auction website can be customized with your company website look and feel so that the transition into auction is seamless and your bidders will never feel that they have left your website. The advantage of this is that your brand image will remain consistently before your bidders and customers.

What happens if there are technical issues with the auction software?
XWAuctions will provide technical support services under an agreement to take care of all technical issues, allowing you to focus on your business.

What if I am unsure of the customizations I may need now?
XWAuctions can customize their software for you at any time, whether it’s before getting started with the software or in the future. If you have new requirements or need additional reports after testing, learning, and using the software additional modifications can be done for you. Since customizations are done only for you, there will be a customization fee based upon the resources and time required.

How can I take payments from my bidders?
XWAuctions can integrate your company merchant account with the software. This will give you the option to accept credit cards, validate bidders, and take a deposit from your bidders. If you wish to accept a wire transfer or other method of payment, this integration can be done to suit your needs.

Can I charge my sellers a fee?
Yes, a payment gateway can be added to allow you to charge your sellers upon a sale, listing, etc.
